a gateway for metaphysical practitioners
Eternitys Fire
As questions about the effectiveness of current health care modalities are surfacing around the globe, many practitioners are finding themselves in unexpected territory.  As ‘sensitives’ we always knew we were more sensitive to everything, and that it could affect our well-being more deeply than the average person.  In the last 2-years, two distinct pathways have emerged.  For the ‘humans’ who understand little about the body-mind-spirit connectivity, and continue to push their negative patterns and behaviors, they are dealing with heightened incidents of physical ailments without understanding that a great deal of the cause is due to their own choices and lifestyles.
Merging Science & Metaphysics for Alternative Health Care Remedies
It is evident that the universe/our souls/higher selves are no longer allowing a leisurely learning pace.  Everything is amplified and speeded up on the physical plane now, so a negative thought or emotion surges into physical manifestation much more quickly.  This fact, compounded by the intense energies and toxicity all around us, has led to many ‘sensitives’/metaphysical practitioners experiencing an increase in health issues as well.  The assault on our heightened senses can’t just be shut off, and as we step forward and open ourselves up as intuitives, healers and teachers in the service of humanity, many are struggling with a range of serious illnesses including fatigue, weight gain, physical pain, respiratory, digestive, reproductive system disease and more.

Having struggled with nearly every one of these ailments at some point in the last five years, I have been encouraged to share some of the remedies I have discovered that can assist.  This is not fun or light subject matter, and let me be clear in saying that I am not a doctor nor am I giving you absolutes in solutions.  This is a time of self-responsibility and you must consider all of the factors (physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and medical) of your situation and select the right combination of care you provide for yourself.  My goal here is to share what I have discovered along the path in the hopes that it will lead you to finding your own balance and healing.

Finding the Zero-Rest Balance Point
This is a term I’ve heard used scientifically, and I tend to borrow it metaphysically to describe the point of peace and connection to spirit that I know can solve not only daily struggle, but disease effects as well.  It is a point of peaceful detachment.  This lack-of-resistance point can be achieved through:
  • Acknowledgement of the true cause of the dis-ease (we’ll get into more detail about this shortly)
  • Taking responsibility and absolutely going into the silence every day to merge and allow the positive effects of that connection to assist you. (These connections are distinctly more powerful and beyond what you could do as a personality alone.)
  • Cutting out the negative behavior and thought patterns you inflict on yourself (smoking, pushing your body physically when it’s exhausted, mental & verbal negativity, allowing chaos, etc.)
  • Purify your diet and environment as much as possible. (removing toxic food preservatives, body products and toxic relationships, etc.)

The good news is that all of the above to-do list items are completely within your control to a great degree.  The stumbling point for most is that they refuse to make necessary changes unless faced with extreme pain, and even then, many return to old patterns once the crisis is past.

Dealing with the Cause
All illness originates first in the mental and emotional aura before grounding into the physical, and if you are truly ready to let go of the past and the things that have lead you to a physical ailment, a portion of your realization and release will need to include identifying the true cause of the illness.  Some ailments are more transitory, such as a cold or sore throat.  Others are the effects of mental and emotional build up over a long period of time.  I have been reminded by spirit…”You didn’t get into this overnight, and you’re not going to change it overnight”… but they are clear that recognition of the underlying mental-emotional pattern/issue is an absolute necessity to releasing the dis-ease.  We live in an instant-gratification society that rewards popping a pharmaceutical pill and then pushing onward.  In a universe that is no longer allowing any lie to stand on the physical plane, you can see why the health care system is now facing its judgment day.  So as you are inspired to walk your mastery each day I would like to recommend a book by Louise L Hay entitled “You Can Heal Yourself”.  It contains a list of root causes for nearly every physical ailment, and can be used as a starting point guide.  From there, you will need to expand your awareness through meditation and direct connection with your own spirit and guides to identify the changes that will need to be made to truly release the issue/illness.

As we deal with the subject of “cause”…there are two additional levels that must be addressed. This is a complex universe in which a soul makes many choices for the lifetime prior to incarnation.  Then additional daily choices are made once engaged in an earth plane incarnation.  The book I recommend above is an excellent guide for some things, but you must go within and seek communication with your own truth about any incident or illness that occurs, to weave together your personal story.  Carried over from past lifetimes may come decisions to experience a hardship to balance out past decisions, or to walk as an example or in service to others.

I was once told by spirit…”just because you have a condition/health issue, doesn’t mean you have to suffer from its effects.”  I found this curious at the time and was shown a technique of placing one hand to the affected body area while holding the other to the sky.  Through focused intent and declaration I sent the pain and heavy energy out to the heavens first for a few moments, then switched hand positions and called down light to fill the area.  Sometimes you may find that this technique works amazingly well.  Other days, if you haven’t meditated or are tired or emotional, it may not.  If you pay closer attention to both the responsibility and power you actually possess, you will be amazed at how quickly a negative thought can turn to physical distress; as well as how quickly a purified, balanced intent can turn into a miracle of release.

Discovering Alternative Remedies & Support
For your exploration, from this point on, I will share some of the specific physical remedies I have discovered that have provided relief and healing for either me or someone in my care.  I believe that it is more important than ever to share in this way, and that the universe always first provides a simple, natural, readily available, inexpensive option to any problem that we encounter.  Even if these specific ailments are not an issue for you, I would encourage that you review the information to understand HOW the problem was solved or assisted, as this same pathwork can be applied to any other health issue.  The key now is to employ your mastery on multiple levels to allow your unique path and solutions to fit together.  In other words, are you paying attention and taking the actions necessary to find and accept the solution…?

Food as Medicine vs. Pharmaceuticals
As a ‘sensitive’ I find that nearly all pharmaceutical medicines and products are debilitating in some way.  A fact that I’m sure you’ve heard before is that modern medicine masks the symptoms and doesn’t deal with the underlying cause.  More serious than that, most do harm in other areas of the body while they deploy this surface-masking.  These effects led me to a discovery about the inherent properties in some foods to do a much better job than any medicine I was told by the medical community to take.

Asthma, Bronchitis, Allergies, Fluid in the Lungs, Sinus Congestion
At one point I spent 9+ months dealing with what appeared to be a flu turned into some sort of “chronic” bronchitis/asthma.  The doctors just kept throwing steroids and inhalers at me, all of which I walked away from... (both the doctors and the meds.)

Solution #1 - Food Remedies
After clearly hearing my guides/higher self tell me I was not to continue taking any of the inhalers.  They lead me to a book by Dr. Sandra Cabot entitled “Raw Juices Can Save Your Life.”  I had already purchased this over a year prior, but now realized it had a complete list of foods and their specific healing properties.  So I traded the $200 per month prescription inhaler for a blender, juicer and a few key foods for starters.  I was amazed to discover that a blender drink of carrots, apple, apricot juice, fresh ginger root and garlic would clear out my lungs faster and better without cascading side effects. (Plain carrot juice works too.)  Other recommendations included white onion and horseradish which while effective, proved to be a bit harsh for my delicate system.

Solution #2 - Herbs
To be clear, I am not someone who runs to the health food store and tries a multitude of “more natural products” and remedies.  I’ve rarely if ever been lead to mass commercialized products and prefer to stand still, without chaos, employ my intuitive connections and wait for a more pin-point specific solution to be brought to my attention as I research.  You could say I prefer a rifle shot to a scatter-shotgun approach in solution-finding and living in general.  A direct spirit-guided solution was suggested in a remedy called “Super Tonic” by Dr. Schulze who owns a California company called American Botanical Pharmacy available online at www.herbdoc.com.  He is a bit radical, and some of his cleanse solutions too harsh for me, but his ingredients are highly pure and this super tonic liquid when placed under the tongue works amazingly well for clearing the lungs. (Alternately, his “lung” tonic was not as effective for me.)  The Super Tonic remedy actually contains ginger root, garlic, white onion, and horseradish so it circles you right back around in confirmation of natural remedies in the food elements we discussed above.  His version is just more concentrated and easier to carry around compared to a blender. And the concentrated formula was more appropriate depending on the severity of symptoms occurring.
(See the Adventures in Herbal Medicine section below for more remedy information and options.)

Solution #3 - Homeopathic Remedies
With a bit of British homeopathic training in my awareness, I began to look for single-remedy homeopathics that might assist as well.  From both experience and direct guidance I have found that combination homeopathic remedies, where they commercially mix multiple remedies together into one tablet, sometimes have backlash issues and lack of effectiveness, though the "Colds & Flu" spray from Kingbio corporation works wonderfully for asthma as well.  But overall, individual or ‘single’ remedies in their purest form are recommended, and there is an array of options available for congestion.  For my part, I discovered the miracle of Arsenicum.  One 30c pellet under my tongue brought tremendous relief for hours (for asthma or allergies).  And because homeopathic remedies also address the mental and emotional issues, there was a calming effect deployed as well.  Never underestimate the massive effect that stress, worry, fear, etc. has on any ailment.  In your new pledge to take responsibility for the entirety of the dis-ease being experienced, try halting at any moment when pain or respiratory distress becomes apparent.  Stand still, feel into your own energy fields and notice the mental, emotional tension.  Many times I have not only noticed its presence, but also taken responsibility in that moment to release it and allow peace rather than pain to win control.

From a dosage standpoint, as a deep sensitive, I always need about 1/3 the bottle-recommended dosage and rarely take more than one pellet at a time of anything.  It’s also important to slow down and energetically work with the remedy (connect with it) as it engages within the physical and auric bodies.  This is a team effort between you and any element you merge with for a solution, and you are responsible for participation in the process.  It may not always be possible to go lay down or meditate at that moment, but this new level of suggested ‘participation’ should be taken into serious consideration and integrated in some appropriate way by practitioners.  The other part of my ‘dosage’ training has outlined that 30c is most appropriate for a physical ailment, but at times may need to be stepped up to a 200c which works more deeply on the emotional side when the cause of the illness comes from, or is heavily intertwined by, emotional trauma.  This is something you will need to determine in-the-moment for your own specific circumstances, and one of the tools I recommend using is applied kinesiology to ask your body/higher self what is needed.

Ear infection, hearing loss, ear pain
Another example of the miracle of single-remedy homeopathic application that I feel is worth mentioning came through a lesson in physical trauma that had surprising after-effects.  For the holidays one year I decided to follow friends and family and go skydiving for the first time.  As a warrior princess willing to walk through fears and fire, I discovered that while this adventure didn’t kill me, it was extremely traumatic and not the best idea I ever had.  For 8-months afterward I dealt with ear infections, pain and hearing loss.  I thought this was from the altitude shock, but there was no visible fluid or damage inside my ears.  The medical specialists just kept telling me I was imagining it and to “blow my nose.”  And again, as before, the solution/remedy was already in my possession.  In a reading with spirit I was told that the landing had actually traumatized my kidneys, which are on the same meridian line with my ears…and Arnica Montana homeopathic (200c - one pellet under the tongue once per day) was the solution.  Though I had no pain in my kidneys, I followed the guidance.  The remedy suddenly surfaced the pain in the kidneys for a few hours, and then within a few days my ears and hearing were completely back to normal.

Fatigue & the Liver
Fatigue tends to become a constant companion for those of us who have bouts of physical, mental, emotional, medical, or life-change issues compounded with heightened sensitivities; and the liver can be one of the points in the body that takes a serious beating.  Its job is to rid the body and blood of toxins among other critical roles, and this point of impact was brought to my attention by spirit as needing extra support and cleansing.  This is the point in the lecture where processed foods and sugars have to be removed from the diet and organic options are highly recommended to avoid putting extra toxins and pesticides into the body.  If you have abdominal pain and extended fatigue, the liver might be in need of a cleanse.  For this exercise, I really did ditch the high sodium and last of the food preservatives, and went back to the food-as-medicine list to see what I could put in the blender.  Beets made the top of my list as a blood & liver cleanser option along with carrots, garlic, grapefruit and turnips.  The book I recommended above by Dr. Sandra Cabot outlines excellent liver cleansers as well as providing specific recipes for juices for many other ailments.  One side note to be aware of: you can overdose on beets and liver cleansing so take care not to push this endlessly.

On a daily basis to combat fatigue and provide support for my body, I have one or two blender shakes.  I put the recipes below should you desire to try them out for yourself.  One of the most important ingredients I discovered is called “SuperFood Plus” which is a vitamin & mineral herbal concentrate made of a variety of algae, seaweed, lemon peel, beet root, spinach leaf, grasses, etc.  This product, like the Super Tonic mentioned above, is also available thru www.herbdoc.com.  They have a monthly program you can sign up for that gives you free shipping. I find the powder form in my blender drinks produces a visible positive difference in my energy level.

The Female Body & Reproductive System Issues
Women are generally more sensitive than men, and if you are a metaphysical practitioner deploying your intuitive and healing abilities, you may have found yourself with difficulties such as painful and irregular menstrual cycles, fibroids, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, etc.  This system of the body is often a gathering point for intensity and stress, grief, fear and other emotional, mental or empathic-healing struggles.  I wanted to mention two excellent homeopathic remedies I have found to assist with the pain from these types of issues.  Sepia is the first, and it appears to deal most directly with female reproductive organ pain and helps to relax the cascading stress.  The second remedy I have found is effective is Causticum, and this seems to provide multi-organ pain relief while encouraging a good night’s sleep.  I’ve taken Sepia at any time of day, but reserved causticum for just before bedtime.  And stop eating all soy/tofu products!
(See the Adventures in Herbal Medicine section below for more remedy information and options.)

Book Recommendations for Homeopathic & Healing Remedies
In addition to the books I’ve already mentioned above, I would
recommend “The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Healing Remedies” by
C. Norman Shealy, MD, PhD.  It is the dream guide with big color
photos, full descriptions on every herb, flower remedy, single
homeopathic remedy and primary food.  It also weaves in remedy
recommendations for specific disorders, provides recipes and cross
references between the remedies.  Because it covers multiple healing
modalities, it will help you explore and discover the remedies and
preferences that work best for your body, mind and spirit.

Guide and Purchasing for Single Homeopathic Remedies
I like the Boiron Brand of single homeopathic remedies for their single
remedy inventory, easy-dose container system and easy-to-find at
many health food stores access.  But these products are ridiculously
labeled as to what symptoms they assist with, so don’t use the bottles
as a guide at the store!  One of the best guides to single remedy homeopathics can be found in the physical catalog available from www.1-800Homeopathy.com.  Go on line and have them send you one via postal mail to use as a reference. This is also an excellent distributor to purchase from.

Using a Blender or Juicer for Easy Support
Once you get started using a blender (or juicer), you’ll find it’s a lot of fun and quite easy.  The “Raw Juices Can Save Your Life” reference book also provides lots of recipes to aim at dealing with specific ailments in addition to the extensive food-benefit charts.  Remember that fresh, organic ingredients are always the best choice.  Here is a wonderful blender/juicer recipe that gives fairly instant relief for lung and sinus congestion as well as being an excellent liver cleanser.

Lung/Congestion Clearing / Liver Flush Drink
  • Organic Peach/apricot Juice (or fresh fruit)
  • Organic baby or regular carrots (fresh veg or juiced within 10 minutes of drinking)
  • 1 small organic apple
  • Slice of fresh ginger root (ginger powder worked better for me and was less harsh)
  • 1 small-medium garlic clove (skip this if it's too harsh for you)

Deciding to take my next step toward healing
and working with my body at a deeper level
brought me to the inevitable interaction with
herbal medicine.  A big subject I found a bit
intimidating because I was intuitively aware
that it would be the seriously and potentially
dangerous equivalent of becoming my own
chemist and pharmaceutical supplier.  This
was serious business.  But when you live with
chronic health issues from over-sensitivity and
know beyond any doubt that regular medicines
and doctors have offered nothing but further
harm, then you understand the point I had
reached.  My intuitive tools and guidance are
my trust-point, and I was going to let them
take the lead.

It is important to say (and remind you yet again), that I am not a doctor and my goal in sharing this information is only to show you the path that I took for myself.  The remedies that I discovered that worked for me should not be assumed to be a prescription for anyone else.  If you are experiencing health difficulties, you must make decisions that merge all of the other factors in your situation including doctor advice, lifestyle, behavior awareness, etc.  The use of herbal medicine for me, as you will see from the way I discovered how to build the remedies I needed, was not done through intellectual classroom work.  In order to accomplish this the way that I did, it was my mastery-connection to my higher self/intuition both through internal guidance and use of kinesiology that was my absolute decision-point method.  And this guidance frequently contradicted what the text book, medical community and “certified herbalists” told me to do.  It is however, my firm belief from experience that anyone who wishes to amplify their own intuitive abilities can do so if they choose to do the work.

Step I - The Reading Assignment
The starting point then, for me, was to read through each and every possible herbal element in the book entitled “The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Healing Remedies” by C. Norman Shealy MD, PhD.  I love this book for its big color pictures, the fact that it was written by a medical doctor, and the simple way it delivers the remedy properties and usage information.  I wasn’t requiring myself to memorize anything, but I made a list of every element that was said to be a possible remedy for female reproductive system issues and lung sensitivities.  Homeopathic remedies were of assistance, but I was still suffering a great deal and knew that this was my next step in finding solutions.  Overall, this reading assignment took me no more than a couple of hours.  I wasn’t going to select remedies from a mental intellectual standpoint once in the field.  I was just giving myself an educational starting point and would use this book as an ongoing reference guide to learn how to prepare or mix remedies, as well as review any new ones I encountered through the exploration process.

Step II - "Meeting" the Elements
My next step was to find (2) local herbalist
supply shops where I could go and “meet”
each of the herbal elements in their purest
form (powders, leaves, etc.).  The reason I
worded it that way is because that is exactly
what I was going to do.  Every plant, mineral
and substance on the planet carries a purpose,
a life force and a gift that they have come to
share.  Holding them in my aura or standing
within a foot of each of them as they sat
stored in big glass jars on the shelves provided
me with the opportunity to connect to each of
them and observe full intuitional responses to
see if my body/aura reacted.  Kinesiology (the testing of my energetic system) was a good starting focal point to use to connect and let my higher self tell me “yes” or “no.”  You need this one; or you do not need this one.  I found it interesting that many of the elements I would have purchased just from the intellectual standpoint of studying the herbal remedies book, I was told were not appropriate solutions.  And on the other hand, I was told I needed things that I had no clue yet what they were used for.  It was a fascinating interaction.

Also in this first herbalist supply shop I was to be graced with additional lessons upon meeting the “master herbalist” in residence.  After years of hard-learned lessons of following the guidance of others rather than my own and ending up in terrible situations, I now don’t care what type of ability or educational degree a person has as credentials.  I simply reach out to learn what I can in an interaction, and then stand up and follow only my own direct intuitional answers in selecting the path I will take.  Now, that may sound simple; but it takes a great deal of practice.  And from that practice grows ability and trust in both the self and the ‘unseen.’  So it was this use of intuition now that would be my foundation in having the courage to follow pretty much none of this particular herbalist’s recommendations.  This man meant well and was very intellectually educated, but used no intuition in his assessment, made demands as to his accuracy that obviously came from ego, and was incorrect on every level for what was going on with me.  For anyone else who did not have my abilities, he would have made perfect logical sense in diagnosis and treatment options.  So I thanked him and took only the supplies my intuition directed instead, trusting that what to actually do with them and why they came to me, would be revealed as I progressed down the path.

In the second supply shop I was blessed with a young man studying to be an herbalist from a metaphysical point of view.  He carried no ego and radiated such love for every plant and root as he excitedly shared on any subject I wanted to discuss.  He understood kinesiology and spoke of Native American and South American traditions of interacting, thanking and respecting each plant and their gifts.  What a huge difference from the first practitioner I had met.  And two very important occurrences in this shop would direct-connect me to the primary solution I needed.

When I discussed my female health issues with him, he handed me a book entitled “Herbal Healing for Women” by Rosemary Gladstar.  I was surrounded by nearly 800 jars filled with powders and leaves from plants around the world, and I would eventually set about the task of body-testing and ‘meeting’ each element one at a time; but first I was drawn to go through the book I had just been handed.  There were at least 20 books on the research table, but this one had what I call ‘the pull of spirit.’  I ‘felt’ my way through the pages, sort-of reading, but mostly feeling until I came to one recipe in particular that threw me such strong connecting-energy it was like someone had turned a neon sign on in my face.  I was a bit amazed by the strength of the ‘pull.’  So I went in search of the powders it recommended to be mixed in equal parts and put into capsules as a remedy.  And if I was shocked by the strength and pull of the recipe I viewed on the page, I actually had to sit down when I touched the bags of the elements themselves.  They included Chaparral, Chaste Tree Berry and Pau d’Arco.  In all my years I have never felt that kind of power or aura response to an element.  It made my head spin in that positive way a trance medium knows when entering into a spirit-guided merger.  So I took them home with the other necessary supplies to make my first custom capsules.

Step III - Creation and Implementation
With an array of elements in powder and leaf form now in hand, it was time to figure out what to do with it all, and I was to learn that not all of the remedies were going to immediately reveal their purpose.  I put each one in carefully labeled glass mason jars for storage and lined them up on the counter to let them talk to me when they were ready.  I went back to the reference book to read about each one and tried a few out in teas, decoctions and even jelly.  It was all very new to me and one of my good friends began referring to me as “the mad scientist” as I tried out new things and occasionally went a little out of bounds in my experimentation.  Who knew that orange peel in a tea would make me uncomfortably “high” for 9 hours from all the vitamin C!  It was a great exercise in getting to know my body as an intuitive.  Vervain tea was wonderfully relaxing…but more than a few sips for me was an overdose.  Schizandra Berries made into a decoction (boiled down precisely with water) was an excellent remedy to calm the lungs and spirit…but eventually after it had done its job each day for a few months, it began interfering with my sleep and I knew it was time to stop taking it.  But the biggest leap of faith I would take was in the making of the Chaparral 3-blend Capsules.  The book actually recommended a fourth element (yellow dock root), which I eliminated based on intuitional guidance and body response; and the author’s dosage recommendation was way higher than what was right for me as well.  Once again, I would follow my intuition rather than the recommendations of the world.  This was quite an exercise in faith over fear considering that most herbalists and others are violently opposed to the use of chaparral as a dangerous element.  But when I put these powders (chaparral, chaste tree berry and pau d’arco) in a bowl and mixed them together, the most incredible vibration followed as intense actual heat arched through my aura and body when I held my hands over the mixture.

Step IV - The Continuing Program
From exploring and taking the 3-blend chaparral capsules and other remedies I can tell you that I have had amazingly positive results when I worked with a combination of the remedies, meditation, diet and acknowledgement of my sensitivity trigger points. (No, you can’t just find new pills to pop or shortcuts, you’ve got to attend to all the variables.)  I’ve learned to truly be in partnership with the elements and make course-corrections as my intuition directs on any given day.  Cramp bark custom capsules for pain can work wonderfully on some issues, but are not strong enough to outweigh the last pharmaceutical in my cabinet, Motrin, when the height of my menstrual cycle is coming to a peak.  And sometimes it only takes one dose of something to rebalance the system. (Such as for me with hawthorn berry, which must be used very carefully for its effect on the heart, but makes a nice jelly.)  Overall, I find that I live with a great deal less sensitivity-pain in all areas because of my application of herbal remedies, homeopathics, meditation and other tools.  Though it is important to mention that it wasn’t the easiest ride at times.  Pau d’Arco causes intense nausea for about a week when it is first started, or if it’s not taken for a day or two and then re-started.  The 3-blend capsules designed to deal with ovarian cysts, endometriosis and other female reproductive system issues felt like a blow torch (on top of the nausea) for the first week and I seriously considered bailing out. Chaparral is usually a remedy reserved for cancer patients, and I wondered at times if I had completely lost my mind embarking on this course of self-treatment based entirely on intuition.  But the good news is that after about 3-months, a great balancing started to occur and daily pain is mostly a thing of the past unless I aggravate it with over-exercising, etc.

Following Intuition to Form - The Ginger Example

In my explorations of the elements of herbalism
and using food as medicine, it’s worth mentioning
that sometimes the FORM of the element can
make a huge difference in the effect it has.  As
I’m pretty well attuned now to my body in a lot
of cases, I have come to be able to differentiate
an emotional craving (like for comfort foods -
bread, desserts, etc.) from a genuine your-body-
is-telling-you-that-you-need-this-element craving.
But my next lesson in the elements would take
me down the road of understanding that the
form of that element might need investigating
as well.

One glaring example of this was my craving for ginger.  Kinesiology and cravings said yes, yes, yes to needing to eat this element; but following the recipes that suggested fresh grated or juiced ginger was seriously bothering my stomach.  I looked into the candied form and got a kinesiology-no.  I found this ironic since ginger is supposed to settle stomach issues. (Welcome to the life of a sensitive where elements can actually have the opposite effect.)  So one day after weeks of frustration, my higher self decided to take over as I was making my afternoon blender drink.  At times when I relax, I have experienced my higher self literally taking over movement or direction (like switching a plane onto auto pilot), and I will find myself standing somewhere staring at or holding something that is the answer or solution.  This is especially awesome to allow to happen on leisurely shopping days in a store.  And so on this day, I found myself standing in the kitchen with a mason jar filled with ginger powder in my hand.  My intuition quietly whispered. “Try this.”  And I had my solution for immune system support AND a huge assistance in keeping my sensitive lungs clear of fluid build-up.  How many times I have told students who are always in a hurry rushing through life….working with intuition and spirit guidance is very subtle.  If you don’t slow down every single day and meditate and nurture that quiet, subtle connection, you will not be tuned in enough for spirit to get a word in edgewise in your noisy-busy-surging-forward life.  Being with the silence and without the constant noise of talking, other people, radio or television is a big part of the path to mastery.  And today it quietly and simply whispered “ginger powder”…..and set the jar in my hand.

Understanding the Effects of Sensitivity-Induced Anxiety

Though the medical community has now come to a
consensus that “stress” can cause illness, most are a
long way off from accepting intuition-based medical
decision-making, or understanding how profound the
DNA and psychic changes now evolving in the human
form are affecting ‘sensitives.’  While pollutants in the
air, a period of grief and the backlash of taking
pharmaceutical prescription remedies might have
kicked my lungs into a place of over-sensitivity that
may never be entirely reversed, I discovered some
amazing facts and solutions in my quest to attend to
the ongoing issue.

  • A 15-minute deep meditation could combat an
asthma attack better than an inhaler.
  • Wearing long sleeves and long pants greatly
reduced my anxiety level both in the daytime
(especially out in public), and helped me sleep better at night.
  • It wasn’t the coldness of the air-conditioning itself that caused fluid build-up in my lungs. It was my body bracing against getting hit by the air blowing directly out of the air vents in the house that was causing unimaginable tension on and off all day long.

The reason I’m sharing this odd array of facts with you, is to point out that the nerve endings in the physical body of a medium/psychic/intuitive are extremely sensitive.  We have a heightened sensory system and fight-or-flight mechanism since we have a geat deal more perceptory-information to sort through in every moment.  Sudden blasts of cold air; rolling over at night and the shock of going from warm sheets to cold sheets; walking in public and literally getting “hit” by the energy fields of others and the environment; these things can have you bracing yourself so constantly and unconsciously that it can cause serious anxiety.  No physical body can withstand a continuing on-and-off mental state of red-alert for literally hours every day and night.  This can lead to what I call Sensitivity-Induced Anxiety and the cascade of physical illnesses and discomfort it produces can be substantial.  I would recommend paying closer attention to your physical environment as an additional area where simple remedies might be brought to your attention.  I can’t tell you what a positive difference putting directional covers on the air vents in my house has made to my health and well-being.

Adventures In Herbal Medicine
with Intuition as the Guiding Principle
Eating for Mastery
As each element in homeopathic or herbal medicine
has a specific effect on the body, so does each and
every food element.  This brings us to the point of
considering what we eat from a very different
perspective.  And I would strongly recommend
taking this opportunity to ‘press the reset button’
and allow food elements to come under a more
targeted system of eating that can:

  • Balance health issues
  • Assist with weight loss
  • Expand intuitional capabilities
  • Realize a path to greater comfort within
        the physical body

As usual, please realize that this discussion is to share from a metaphysical perspective how I implemented solutions and took over my own health care.  And I share it in the hopes that it might assist you on your own path.

Step I - The Reading Assignment
As I’ve mentioned at other points in discussion, there are three critical books to have on hand when working with making food decisions:
1.“Cook Right for Your Type” by Dr. Peter J. D’Adamo
2.“Raw Juices Can Save Your Life” by Sandra Cabot, MD
3.“The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Healing Remedies” by C. Norman Shealy MD, PhD

All of these books are basically reference books that you will refer back to over and over again.

Cook Right for Your Type outlines which foods will act as medicines, food-support or poison when they interact with your specific blood type. (So you’re going to need to know your blood type to continue with this process.  Ask your doctor or go to the local blood bank and get ‘typed.’)

Raw Juices Can Save Your Life has one of the best reference sections I have ever seen to tell you the exact effect of nearly every type of fruit, vegetable, etc. on the physical body.  Juicing is great if you want to take that path, but again, I’m recommending this book for the reference guidance.

And finally, the same Illustrated Encyclopedia of Healing Remedies we used for homeopathic and herbal medicine guidance has entire sections on body reactions to specific foods.

Once you get a little momentum going with this reset-your-diet process it can actually be both fascinating and fun.  Don’t try to read and memorize everything in these books.  Just be ready to use them in meal planning.  But your first true reading assignment should be a review of the food chart for your specific blood type in "Cook Right for your Type."  Take the time to both mentally and intuitively ‘feel’ each food on the list.  Is a food you normally eat actually listed as a ‘poison’ for your specific blood type?  If you use your intuition and subtle feeling nature, you will probably notice that your internal guidance system is quietly suggesting you stop eating it.  Even if it doesn't make you visibly sick, it probebaly doesn't make you feel great if you're paying attention.  Other items on the poison-list might actually give you a terrible stomach ache or allergic reaction you were already aware of.

Step II - Put together some recipes
As you proceed with your research from the first
book, take time to look at some of your favorite
current foods and recipes and look up the
ingredients in each of the reference books.  Your
goal now is to create a starting point new menu
plan with just a few controllable recipes in it.
This means everything is fresh, and organic
when possible.  No processed or prepackaged
foods unless you read the label and it’s all easy to
account for with no preservatives or unidentifyable
ingredients of any kind.  Simple is better, and it
might be boring at first, but this is an exercise in
learning to feel each and every individual ingredient
as it moves through your system to track the
specific effects.  To really do this right, you
should be making recipes from scratch yourself.
And if you make your recipes simple, this won’t take any massive additional time or effort.  It will, however, challenge you to walk in mastery rather than cater to emotional eating bad habits, mental-emotional temper tantrums, excuses and negative patterns.  And this brings us to the list of other-things-to-do-and-ditch if you want to really do this exercise right.

  • Limit and pay careful attention to any sodium intake.  Make it a game to get this quantity as low as possible each meal and each day. (Hint: Pre-packaged organic meals like “Amy’s” are still horrible with the sodium levels.)  Replace table salt with sea salt.
  • Remove processed sugar from your diet, with the exception of a bit of evaporated cane juice that you might find in soy or almond milk. (I used Chocolate Almond milk is a staple of my daily diet for while to curb my emotional-eating tantrums, then finally got off of it too.) Funky-organic health food meal bars and other items are not going to allow you to do this experiment correctly.  Only whole foods will allow you to really interact with each and find the benefits and solutions at first.
  • For blood type-A folks, you will notice that you are supposed to be vegetarian based on thousands of years of blood-source history; while blood type-O people handle meat products well in their diet.  It’s important to pay close attention to these suggestions as you chart a course for yourself.  This science is a good starting point for getting to a place of optimal health, and then your personal body/intuition will guide you for your personal path. Though it horrifies me, I am required to eat a bit of chicken or turkey each day or my health can not be maintained.
  • Dairy milk was created to feed baby cows, not humans, and wreaks havoc on human systems.  But don’t despair because there are some great soy-cheese, rice-cheese and almond-cheese/milk alternatives that taste great and melt perfectly.  (I’ve shared a few of them in the recipe section below but be careful about the quantity of soy you ingest.)
  • And do I even need to tell you no smoking, drinking alcohol, soda, heavy caffeine, fast-food or other stimulants?  (Coffee is still good for some blood types in moderation, so don’t panic.)

So WHY are we doing this again?
Because by purifying your system for a little while, you’re going to feel better, learn a lot, be able to loose weight, and more.  For me, all of this was true.  Plus the benefit that by tuning in to my system and setting up a daily set of great eating practices I went from a $27,000 1-year doctor bill to not actually needing a doctor since I began this exploration nearly 4-years ago.  And I was able to stop taking all pharmaceutical medicines and prescriptions with the exception of occasional Motrin.  I warn you that you will need to balance out your own medical issues with your doctor and personal decision-making, but the point I’m trying to make here is that if you have truly had enough of the merry-go-round of illness, fatigue, weight gain, etc., then perhaps this press-the-reset-button eating plan might be of interest to you for a little while.

Step III - Go through Your Pantry & Refrigerator
In fairness, I have to tell you that all of the mastery in the world wouldn’t stop me from eating a chocolate chip cookie if I am dumb enough to bring it into the house.  So setting yourself up to win at this game is advised.  We all have emotional and mental issues that rise up when we make changes like this.  In America, eating food is the national pass-time.  So for starters, you will need to go through your pantry and refrigerator as step #3, and throw out or donate any foods that don’t fit your starting-point recipe meal-plan you just created.  Beware especially of condiments and the endless unpronounceable list of chemicals in them. (I included a homemade mayonnaise recipe below to get you started.)  And if you are struggling a bit in getting your own daily meal plan together, I’ve shared a few recipes at the end of this section to give you some ideas.

Step IV - Shopping & Preparation
Set aside a little extra time in the first week for shopping with your new recipe lists and reference books.  You should also set aside time on the first weekend to pre-make some things or try out new recipes for the first time.  This will assist in getting you past the mental resistance and false believe that this change has to be difficult.  Make it FUN.  Buy as much organic as you can, but don’t cater to the ridiculous.  $3 for a piece of fruit is insane.  Rule of thumb: If you are going to actually eat the outside of the fruit or vegetable, it becomes even more critical that you do your in-the-moment finger-testing kinesiology and see if you need to buy the organic option. Click here for the guide to using kinesiology Strawberries and other berries are especially bad with the pesticides and being so close to ground water. In truth, I use my intuition to test every single item I purchase every single time.  I might do this by simply ‘reaching into it’ with my senses, or deploy full kinesiology testing if I get a bad initial feeling or whisper from guidance.  So many pesticides and bacteria issues are now present in food, that this is just a smart practice going forward.

A Few Recipes and Notes from the Field

Who knew that fresh parsley and cucumber
combined in a salad for dinner was the
equivalent to a double-dose of diuretic and
pretty much guarantees that you’ll be up
running to the bathroom to pee all night?!?
Or that if you’re trying to loose weight you
shouldn’t add cinnamon to anything because
it increases the appetite.  Even adding a few
extra cups of water intake to my body each
day greatly assisted with my lung-sensitivity
issues.  If you choose to really participate in
this food-interaction-game as it’s outlined
here, you will discover some very powerful
food-as-medicine remedies when you start
viewing each individual ingredient separately.  Add the knowledge of the physical reactions of your body to your growing intuitional abilities and you can enjoy some amazing results.  Here is a sample snapshot of a meal plan I am currently using each day.  To make it especially effective with a dual-goal of both balancing my health issues and loosing weight, I will actually eat nearly the same meal plan every day for weeks.  This allows me to monitor success in weight loss and health matters, and course-correct as my intuition directs with replacing, decreasing or increasing any individual food ingredient.  And you can use the same kinesiology/intuitional guidance connections to decide on what types and levels of physical exercise are most appropriate for you.  Remember if you are truly a sensitive, then smaller doses of everything from exercise to individual food ingredients may be much more appropriate rather than pushing to exhaustion the way personal trainers and society dictate are best. For each of the recipes below there are guide-notes and it’s recommended that you use your three new reference books to look up the other qualities of each ingredient to see why I would choose to take it and evaluate if it would also be a good addition to your own recipes.

Wake-Up Vitamin-Energy Blender Drink
  • ¾ cup organic unsweetened almond milk)
  • ¼ cup chocolate almond milk  (optional)
  • 1 Teaspoon Organic spinach powder
  • 1 Tablespoons pure unsalted organic almond butter (optional)
  • 1 cup organic carrots
  • 1/2 a green apple or a medium peach
  • 1 Teaspoon (whole granule) bee pollen (optional - ask your guidance)
  • ¼ teaspoon organic ginger powder

Recipe Notes: Soy/tofu is a great option for protein for vegetarians or most people with blood type-A, but more and more it is causing issues in "sensitives" and in some women it can cause hormone-estrogen imbalance and you will need to choose other beverage or protein options.  Ginger reduces congestion, asthma, reduces inflammation, fights cold/flu, is a natural antibiotic and reduces cholesterol in the blood.  Almonds are great protein and support the nervous system, which is very important for ‘sensitives.’

Throughout the day…
  • Drink at least 6-8 cups of water each day.  (Hint: I’m not a water drinker but using a container with a straw and drinking it warm to avoid system shock makes it easy to drink more without me recoiling from it.)
